CLASS: COMPETITION MATH

Learn and hone essential skills necessary for success on the AMC 8 and Mathcounts in our new competitive math class, with content encompassing a diverse repertoire of topics. Creativity and innovation, fundamental attributes of good performances on math competitions, will feature prominently in this course, transcending beyond content and skillsets typically presented in a traditional math curriculum. As opposed to the repetitive rote memorization characteristic of most conventional math courses, this course presents math in the immediate context of novel, innovative thinking, facilitating future proficiency in higher and applied mathematics.

Prerequisites: Minimum of Algebra 1, with Geometry preferred
Grade levels: 5-9
Dates: June 21, 2021 - July 14, 2021

Registration
Registration for the course is preferably via the Google Form attached here, although registration via email (bcao32767@gmail.com) or alternatively Discord (bcao0003#7441) is also possible. Although not mandatory, registration is highly recommended and takes only a minute.
