Children's Hunger Fund (CHF)
Fund Raising Campaign

Having been deeply moved by the hungry children suffering in poor countries like Haiti, the SCV CHEER began recycling for the Children’s Hunger Fund (CHF) fundraiser in April 2024. It was a wonderful success, driven by the generous contributions of Santa Clarita Valley and San Fernando Valley families. Over 50 families and friends donated recyclables and money. Students actively designed flyers and spread the word, collected and sold recyclables, used the proceeds and funds donated to purchase food items required by CHF Food Paks, and assembled and delivered them to CHF on November 2, 2024. Together with The Mandarin Baptist Church of the San Fernando Valley (MBCSFV), we delivered 216 Food Paks! This food will provide close to 12,000 children a meal, according to CHF. This amazing effort shows how much the community came together to make a real difference for those in need
